To place the extensions on a separate field on Works for Windows version 3.0, do the following:- Insert a new DB field or spreadsheet column for the extensions to the immediate right of the zip code field.
- Select the zip code column or field.
- From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
- From the document menu, choose Create New document and select Word Processor.
- In the Word Processor document, select Paste from the Edit menu. the will insert all of your zip codes.
- From the Edit menu, choose Replace.
- In the Find What box, type -.
- In the Replace to box, type ^t. The ^t was a special character for the tab mark.
- Choose Replace All.
- at the task has been completed, choose Select All.
- From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
- In the Spreadsheet or DB document, put the cursor on the first zip code cell.
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
